About the Elder Care Team
Dennis Toman, JD, CELA
Dennis grew up in Wisconsin and moved to North Carolina to attend UNC Law.
He is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation & Board Certified Specialist in Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate by the North Carolina State Bar. He has been on many boards and is currently the past president of the Greensboro Society of Financial Service Professionals.
Dennis founded the Elderlaw Firm over 20 years ago with the mission of providing local families trustworthy guidance for the elder care journey.
He is an author and frequent speaker and has appeared on television many times.
Mike Casterlow, JD
Mike has called Greensboro, NC home for most of his life. He left briefly to achieve his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. After moving back home to Greensboro, he enrolled in Elon University School of Law where he received his law degree.
Mike serves on several boards including the Board of Directors for Guilford Green. He is a founding member of the Carolina Aging Alliance which has a mission of improving the quality of life for all older LGBTQ+ adults through inclusion, advocacy, education and positive social engagement. At The Elderlaw Firm, Mike specializes in assisting clients with guardianship, estate planning and estate administration services.
Mike and his husband reside in High Point, and are raising a very rambunctious Peek-A-Poo dog named Dobby.
