Find Your Potential with Youth Soccer

We are waiting on you! Join the youth soccer team where your child will develop skills, teamwork and confidence, all while engaging in healthy competition through Y sports leagues. The Y offers youth sports with a focus on character development. Y sports leagues provide a perfect opportunity to be active and social and reconnect with friends in the sport they love.

Instructors and Coaches - often volunteers and many parents - model fairness and hard work while emphasizing teamwork and cooperation, and developing good values in our sports programs. We are always looking for volunteer coaches that will recognize achievements large and small and understand that winning is not just about the score. By playing sports, kids and their families feel a sense of belonging that comes from a community gathering together to cheer on their team.

If you want to play adult sports, visit our adult sports page.

We offer financial assistance for all programs through our Financial Assistance Program.

Fall Soccer

August 24 - October 19

Age Groups:
Co-Ed: 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-11, 12-14

Join us on the field as we teach youth participants a variety of soccer and teamwork skills in a safe and welcoming environment. Our parent volunteer coaches are there to guide and motivate each participant while building key skills and confidence.

Games are typically played on Saturday at the Eden YMCA. Possible weather makeup games may be played on weeknights. Practices will be on weeknights. Coach & player requests will only be honored in the 3-6 year old age groups. 7-14 year old teams are formed by coaches through a draft process.

End of season trophies will be discarded if not picked up within one month. Depending on registration numbers, some age groups may be merged with the Reidsville YMCA. In that case, games would be played at the Eden YMCA and Lake Reidsville.

YMCA Sports Philosophy: Participants have FUN in a safe learning environment.  The YMCA believes in the God-given potential of every child; and encourages teamwork and a sense of belonging.

Enrolling your kids in a local Greensboro, NC, or Rockingham County Youth Soccer program can play an important part in your child’s physical and social development. Soccer develops agility and teaches children the importance of teamwork. Playing with a soccer team develops a child’s ability to cooperate and interact with other children.

Soccer can be considered an aerobic exercise, because of the constant movement of the participants while playing, but the best part is that your child won’t even notice the workout because of all the fun that comes with it.

Help your kids make new friends and stay active by enrolling them at the Y’s Youth Soccer Program!
