For more than 130 years, the Y has served as a nonprofit leader and partner in community health, delivering evidence-based health programs and interventions that benefit vulnerable populations and those managing the life-altering effects of chronic disease. 

What to Expect/How You Can Help During the COVID-19 Pandemic

  • Most importantly, if you are not feeling well or have come into contact with someone with COVID-19, please stay home! Help us keep our Y communities safe and healthy.
  • Please review our member expectations by clicking here.
  • Members will be asked to sign an updated waiver before participating in any Y offerings. Waivers can be found here. Once you have completed this waiver, you do not need to complete it again.
  • To ensure the utmost safety of our members, we will limit use to NC YMCA members.
  • All team members, members and vendors who are unwilling to comply with the Y’s COVID transmission prevention measures will be asked to leave.

Healthiest You in 2022 Wellness Challenge

Women on Weights

When: Sunday mornings from 8am-9am; January 9, 16, 23 & 30
Location: Eden YMCA
Cost: $20 Members, $40 Non-Members

Feel confident, comfortable and knowledgeable in the weight room! In this 4-week closed session, Travis and Gina will help raise your familiarity with weight lifting and proper techniques while increasing your muscle mass. If you feel intimidated walking into the weight room, Women on Weights is for you.

Fat Burn Boot Camp

Cost: $40 Members, $60 Potential Members

If you're looking to feel more motivated and energetic, the Y has you covered! Join us for intense workouts on Tuesday and Thursday evenings this January. Our instructors will help you push your limits, increasing your strength, agility and stamina. You'll leave each session of this high-intensity aerobic interval training feeling empowered, accomplished and challenged!

Spirit Fit
Exercise for Your Soul

When: Mondays at 11 am and 6 pm, beginning in February
Location: Eden YMCA Group Exercise Room

In a time of uncertainty and anxiety, it's easy to feel lost and overwhelmed. Join us for Bible study to dive into relevant topics and thought-provoking discussions, gain new insights, strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ and others and spend time in His word.

January Jumpstart Bootcamp

Dates: January 24 to March 4
Days/Times: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 5:30 – 6:30 am

Cost: $125 for Members; $140 for Non-Members

Reidsville YMCA

Make the Miles Count
Winter Running/Walking, Swimming & Cycling Challenge

Dates: January 3 – 31, 2022
Cost: $10 (an additional $5 will be added after December 30)

Run/Walk: treadmill, outdoor track, elliptical
Swim: laps in the YMCA pool. 36 full length laps = 1 mile OR 72 shallow end laps = 1 mile
Cycle: recumbent bike, upright bike, cycle
Winners will be announced the week of February 1st.

Make the miles count in January! Choose to run or walk 40 miles, swim 12 miles or cycle 100 miles between January 3 – 31, 2022. Participants who complete this challenge will receive a YMCA water bottle, and the top three from each category with the longest overall distances will each receive a YMCA t-shirt. Whether you run for the prize or just cycle for yourself, grab some friends and step up to the challenge!

Small Group Personal Training
Personalized, Affordable, Effective

Dates: January 5 through February 9; six total sessions
Time: Wednesdays, 11am-12pm
Location: BB&T Room, Reidsville YMCA
Cost: $40 Members, $55 Non-Members
There will be a maximum of 6 participants for this program. Cost increases by $5 on 12/31/21.
 

If you’re looking to lose weight or become more fit, this one is for you! This Small Group Training session is led by NASM certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor, Mo Summers. Each session is catered toward health seekers that are looking for personalized and effective guidance in their fitness routine.

Unlike Bootcamp, Small Group Training sessions improve your fitness through personal attention and tailored exercise. They are designed to help you achieve maximum results and avoid injury. Each session will include health education, goal-setting, and more!

Maintain Don't Gain
Holiday Fitness Challenge

Dates: November 22 through January 16
Cost: $15 Members, $20 Potential Members
There will be an additional $5 added after November 15. Registration includes a t-shirt, access to a private Facebook support group and weekly program challenges to help support you throughout the journey!

Instructions:

  • Successfully maintain your weight by January 16 and be entered into a drawing for a free 3-month membership.
  • The initial weigh-in is open from November 22 – 28.
  • Weigh-in weekly! If you’re maintaining or losing weight you will be entered into a weekly prize drawing.
  • Remote weigh-in options will be available.

Take Steps for a Healthy Heart Challenge!

In honor of Healthy Heart Month, we will be challenging our members to get cardio in by reaching a daily step amount. The goal will be 5,000 steps per day in order to reach 140,000 steps in 4 weeks. The challenge is $10 and participants will recieve a t-shirt!

Goal: 5,000 steps/day (end goal of 140,000 steps in 4 weeks)
