Whether you’re looking to lose weight, get stronger, eat healthier, fight disease, improve your energy or lower stress, we have people and programs in place to help. We offer a variety of fun, high-quality programs that are included in your Y membership or require an additional fee.

For more than 130 years, the Y has served as a nonprofit leader and partner in community health, delivering evidence-based health programs and interventions that benefit vulnerable populations and those managing the life-altering effects of chronic disease.

Around the World in 90 Days Fitness Challenge

Lace your kicks up tight, because it’s time for a fitness expedition unlike any other: The Y’s Around the World in 90 Days Fitness Challenge! This 90-day program will challenge you to complete various exercises throughout the YMCA and earn enough miles to travel around the globe along the way.

Participants will log each of their workouts using a tracking sheet and rack up miles for each minute completed. The goal of the challenge is to complete a total of 24,901 miles, or approximately 1,915 miles per week. The longer you exercise, the more miles you will travel! Hint: If you plan accordingly, you can reach the goal by exercising between 3 and 3.5 hours per week.

How to Earn Challenge Miles

Wellness Center - Earn 5 Miles Per Minute
For Example:

  • 30 Minutes on Treadmill = 150 Miles

Track or Pool - Earn 10 Miles Per Minute
For Example:

  • 25 Minutes of Swimming = 250 Miles

Group Fitness Classes – Earn 10 Miles Per Minute
For Example:

  • 30 Minute Class = 300 Miles

Y in the Community Classes – Earn:

  • 30 Minute Class = 360 Miles
  • 45 Minute Class = 375 Miles
  • 60 Minute Class = 400 Miles

Do you want to take your training to the next level? Have you trained with a goal in mind? Do you want to get stronger? Get leaner? This 4-week program will do just that!

We will use different periodizations in our program and free weights as well as machines to enhance your training. Each session will be a combination of upper and lower body muscle groups with a different focus. Increasing the volume and frequency of training by targeting the same muscle groups more than once a week will facilitate muscle building and strength gains. Training will be designed around the individual's fitness goals.

Build confidence and strength!

April 24, 2022 to May 15, 2022 | Sunday mornings, 8am to 9am

Member: $20, Community Guest: $40. Drop-in prices are $5 for Members and $10 for 
Community Guests.

Feel confident, comfortable and knowledgeable in the weight room! In this program, we'll raise your familiarity with weight lifting and proper techniques and help you increase your muscle mass. Travis and Gina will teach you how to use various machines to work different muscle groups.

Spirit Fit
Exercise for Your Soul

When: Mondays at 11 am and 6 pm, beginning in February
Location: Eden YMCA Group Exercise Room

In a time of uncertainty and anxiety, it's easy to feel lost and overwhelmed. Join us for Bible study to dive into relevant topics and thought-provoking discussions, gain new insights, strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ and others and spend time in His word.

Spring Clean Transformation Bootcamp

Dates: April 6th to May 25th, Wednesdays at 6:30pm-7:30pm
Cost: $40 Members, $55 Community Guests

This is a scholarship-eligible program, and t-shirts are included!

It's time to spring clean your fitness routine! During this 8-week program, participants will work toward their individual fitness goals while improving their strength, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance and toning. All fitness levels are welcome. Register today!

Spears YMCA

Beginner BodyPump Class

When: Saturdays May 14 & 21 at 8:45am
Wednesday, May 18 at 10:30am

No registration is required to participate. The class is first come, first served.

Have you ever wanted to try BodyPump but weren't sure where to start? Come join the BodyPump Team and learn the basics of one of the most challenging group fitness classes!

You will learn the fundamentals of the basic movements used in BodyPump. This is a great opportunity for new participants AND those with more experience to learn proper techniques to get the maximum benefits of this program!

Stoney Creek YMCA

Power Hour Small Group Training

This 4-week program will be designed for all fitness levels. The focus of Power Hour will be on helping you get into shape and change up your routine. This program is capped at 8 people.

Y in the Community

The Stoney Creek Express YMCA is partnering up with the Town of Gibsonville to bring FREE classes through our Y in the Community series! We will be offering classes to anyone (regardless of membership status) who is interested.
