Throughout the month of September, the Stoney Creek Express YMCA will be celebrating our local past and present First Responders. Read below to see how!
How We're Celebrating
Recognition Board
We will be honoring our members who are past and present First Responders through a display. Each person will get two copies of the card while one copy will go on our display. Each card has the person’s name, occupation and where he or she served.
If you are a member and would like to participate, please contact Sydney Herron or stop by the branch to schedule a time for your photo. The deadline is August 30.
Luncheon
On Friday, September 9, 2022 from 11am–1pm, we will be hosting a catered luncheon for the first responders in our community. Food will be served to the local EMS, fire, and police departments who are invited. Please RSVP by completing this online form. A Y membership is not required!
How You Can Help
- Donate! Our goal is to host at least 40 First Responders during the luncheon. To be able to reach that goal, we are collecting monetary donations to help cover the costs associated with the luncheon.
- Volunteer during the luncheon! We are seeking volunteers to help assist and serve food.
- Spread the word! Tell your friends and family about the luncheon. It will be open to any First Responders in our area, regardless of Y membership status.
