Navigating A New Education Experience
As the landscape of learning continues to change, the YMCA remains committed to serving you and your child through extended learning opportunities.
In recent days, local school systems began sharing proposed plans for returning to the classroom. Today (July 14), Governor Cooper announced that North Carolina schools will be open for in-person and remote learning in 2020-21.
We know you have questions about how you can work while also supporting your children's modified schedules and remote learning. As area school systems adjust calendars due to COVID-19, we will adjust our programming for the 2020-2021 school year.
The Y has worked in the childcare and after-school space for years, and our holistic approach helps children improve their study habits and reading skills, build healthy eating and physical activity habits, and gain exposure to the arts, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), global learning and more. We are willing and confident in our ability to help children continue to learn, grow and thrive during this difficult time.
