Day Camp & LIT Program
At Spears Camp, our goal is to provide a warm, safe and engaging environment where children can discover who they are, develop lifelong friendships and gain skills they’ll use for a lifetime.
WHY THE Y: Discover that summer is MORE than beach trips and sunscreen! At YMCA camp, summer is all about achievement, relationships and belonging!
Safety comes first at YMCA camp, ensuring your child is provided a high-quality camp experience:
• Our staff is certified in CPR and First Aid and must pass a background check and drug screen.
• We offer a 1:10 counselor-to-camper ratio, which means more meaningful interaction with your child.
• Pre-summer staff trainings on child safety, healthy discipline, positive reinforcement, character development, games, songs and child abuse prevention ensure the best possible experience for your camper!
Register February 1st to get your spot. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to give your child the best summer ever! Kindergarten to age 12.

Child Care While You Workout
PlayZone is designed for children from 6 weeks to 4 years old, but if the Energy Factory is not open can accommodate children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. This is a benefit for our Adult, Family and Senior memberships so as long as the accompanying adult is a member, children may use the PlayZone. Please do NOT bring sick children to Playzone. Crying children will be given 15 minutes before a parent will be called unless staff is notified differently.
Sign In and Out Procedures: When dropping off children, parents must get a parent band and a child band from the band bar outside the PlayZone door. The parents must write the child's name on the band and the corresponding number from their parent band. Then put the band on both themselves and the child. For toddlers and infants bands can be placed on the ankle. Please feel free to label bags, and car seats with additional child bands. All bands will be removed at pick up. If a different parent is picking up please alert staff. You can either give them your band or they will need to show ID to staff to pick up the child.
