"Send a Kid to Camp" Event

The YMCA Camp Weaver Annual Giving Campaign “Send a Kid to Camp” program provides scholarships for kids who could otherwise not attend summer camp, allowing them to participate in valuable outdoor education opportunities.
Camp is more than just fun—it helps prevent summer learning loss, builds confidence, and supports social-emotional development. Every child deserves the chance to explore nature, build friendships, and discover their potential.
- 1624 youth served in YMCA Camp Weaver programs
- Partnered with organizations including Children’s Home Society, Partnership Village, Family Justice Center/Camp Hope, Camp Corral, Hope Academy, Scott Free
- 131 Military campers were served, across the southeast to children of disabled, wounded or fallen family members.
- 63 Counselor in Training and Leaders in Training teen program opportunities offered.
