Our Wellness Center is fully equipped with a wide variety of cardio and strength training equipment. Need help getting started? Orientations are free to members ages 16 and over.
During orientation, you will be shown how to operate the cardiovascular and strength training equipment. We will develop a personalized workout plan to help you reach your goals.
All youth 14 and 15 years of age are required to complete a teen certification course prior to being allowed to have full fitness center privileges.

Outdoor/Indoor Bootcamp AM or PM
If you are looking to rev up your workouts and push yourself a little bit further, join us for our annual Outdoor Fall Bootcamp! Our awesome instructors will be pushing you to your limits and taking you to your next level of fitness. No matter what your fitness level is, our bootcamp is for you! If you decide the session you pick is not enough for you, you are more than welcome to join any of the other sessions you please! Just be sure to register in the session you will be trying to attend the most so we have an accurate count of participants.
When: August 28th – October 6th Tues/Thurs/Fri at 5:30am-6:30am
or August 28th – October 6th Mon/Tues/Thurs at 6:00pm-7:00pm

Learn Lifesaving FirstAid/CPR/AED Skills
When: Firday, September 8, 2017 4-7pm
Register by August 25th
This is a blended learning format for FirstAid, CPR & AED. Pre-work on the internet is required before the skills portion. Once you register for the skills class, we will send you an email with a link to launch the online class & do the pre-work prior to the skills class. You must complete the pre-work in order to attend the skills class. No refunds will be given for failure to do pre-work. Upon completion of the class & passing the exam & skills testing, you will be certified for 2 years in FirstAid, CPR & AED. This class is open to the public.

Yoga in the Park
The Ragsdale Family YMCA in partnership with the City of Jamestown is offering FREE Community Yoga in the Park.
When: Wednesday at 6:30pm from May 3rd-August 23rd
Cost: FREE! Just bring your own yoga mat and water bottle.
Where: Wrenn Miller Park – 101 Guilford Rd, Jamestown, NC 27282
The Teen Certification is a two hour class that will allow teens, ages 14-15, to use the Wellness Center without having a parent or guardian present. Teens will learn basic anatomy and physiology, key components to health and well-being, how to use strength and cardio equipment, proper strength training form, and Wellness Center Rules and Policies. Classes will be offered at various times throughout the month. The class is divided into three major portions: a practical, a lecture, and a written test.
