Fit Camp: Core Fit
Join us for the first FIT CAMP in our seven part series! Core Fit starts our seven part series off with a belly-burning bang! Starting with the core, we will begin to start on firming and building strength in the base of your body. It doesn’t just mean you will do 1000 crunches, your core consists of way more than just your abdomen! Prepare yourself for an awesome, fun workout that builds more than just your strength!
This series will run January through July with every month being a specialized theme of workouts. Similar to last year’s series, if you sign up for a total of four out of seven fit camps, you will earn a shirt. Please share ideas and things that you would like to work on so we can cater our FIT CAMPS to you!
When: January 8-25; Tuesdays and Thursday at 5:30am
Cost: $40/Members, $60/Non-Members
The Teen Certification is a two hour class that will allow teens, ages 14-15, to use the Wellness Center without having a parent or guardian present. Teens will learn basic anatomy and physiology, key components to health and well-being, how to use strength and cardio equipment, proper strength training form, and Wellness Center Rules and Policies. Classes will be offered at various times throughout the month. The class is divided into three major portions: a practical, a lecture, and a written test.

Ever wanted to run a 5K but don’t know where to start? Thinking about adding running to your workout but not sure how? Let us change your mind!
We will be hosting 5K Fit, a 5k training program to teach you how to warm up, gradually take you into running, and how to recover properly. We will be using a version of training that incorporates walk and run intervals starting out with short intervals and slowly increasing them so you can run an entire 3 miles without stopping if you choose! If that is not what works for your body, we will help you find a sustainable interval that does so you can be successful! Join us and be successful and accountable together!
