Whole Community Walking Meditation
Join us for a unique yoga experience on September 9th – walking meditation. We will incorporate yoga poses, mindful walking, and breathing techniques to foster personal and community connection. “Walking meditation is walking slowly, in a relaxed way, keeping a light smile on our lips. When we practice this way, we feel deeply at ease, and our steps are those of the most secure person on Earth. All our sorrows and anxiety drop away, and peace and joy fill our hearts. It only takes a little time, a little mindfulness, and the wish to be happy.” – Thich Nhat Hanh Fred Hoffman, or Yoga Fred, came to yoga as a means of stretching and strengthening for competitions and injuries during rock climbing, triathlon, USTA tennis, and ice hockey. After practicing for close to a year, he began his yoga teaching career in 2009. Fred is an E-RYT200 (over 1,000 hours of teaching) and a YogaFit Master Trainer. Fred quickly realized that yoga is much more than active and passive stretching and is excited to share what he has learned. Cost: FREE!
