Join us for Heart Disease: Are You at Risk?, a part of our Wellness Series. This series is focused on strategies and adopting lifestyle habits to increase longevity. Led by Dr. Kardie Tobb, this workshop will examine heart disease’s effects, symptoms, risk factors, and steps you can take to help prevent heart disease.

About Dr. Kardie Tobb: Dr. Tobb is a noninvasive cardiologist with board certifications in general cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and internal medicine. She has special interest in preventative cardiology, reducing inequalities in cardiovascular care for patients that are highly impacted by social determinants of health and women’s health. Her academic interest includes working on improving disparities of cardiovascular care in women, and access of care in minority women.

She started her career at CHMG HeartCare in August 2020.  Dr Tobb is currently the Director of the CHMG HeartCare women’s heart program and the founder of the CHMG HeartCare Cardio-Obstetrics clinic.  Under her leadership, the inaugural women heart educational symposium was held on Feb 2, 2022 (National Wear Red Day) which is now an ongoing educational program. The purpose of this symposium is to educate all women about their risk for heart disease and what steps they can do to decrease their chances of developing heart disease. She also serves on the Cone Health’s Health equity committee.

On national level, Dr. Tobb is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and serves on the disparities of care working group. As a member of the American Society of Preventative Cardiology, she serves on a working group for women in preventative cardiology.
